Opposing an unjust and tyrannical goverment
We have seen those who protested Israeli genocide/expressed pro palestinian sentiments arrested ; and people refused entrance to the US based on prior social media posts unfavorable of Trump. We have seen people arrested for peaceful protests against ICE. Notably today a Mayor. Yet we also saw violent insurrectionists/pro Trump protestors pardoned by the President and referred to as "patriots." There is either a Constitutional Right to free assembly, addressing grievances to government, free speech or there us not. Favoring one type of speech while punishing another is not free speech. We have seen people dragged out of their homes by masked men who refused to identify themselves/ICE agents and renditioned to foreign prisons with zero due process. As I write it is Holy Saturday- the day Christians recall the Jesus was dead in a grave. They were frightened, wondering what all these things going on around them meant. Just like us.
